There don't seem to be any exact ranges. I did a 3D archery course with a friend who had one of those more expensive SIG rangefinders and the rangefinder kept cutting off. For flat distances this seemed decent, but when corners came into play this rangefinder regularly delivered longer distances. I suspect he didn't calculate the angle. Pay an extra $80 and get an entry-level range finder from leading brands: Vortex, Leopold, etc. (with a guarantee). Definitely worth the extra money - wish I had done that first.
