I use RTL-SDR to monitor various wireless temperature sensors around my house/yard, but have always had range issues. I have used several other "433MHz" antennas (magnetic mount type) but none of them worked properly. I was about to give up and build a second RTL-SDR receiver to get better coverage when I bought this one. I noticed that the antennas were a different length than the others I've used and the reception was MUCH better. A friend of mine had the same problem and bought one and saw a similar range increase with the AcuRite weather sensors. If you need a proper 433mhz antenna this is the best I have found so far.
