I'm not a hairdresser. However, due to the pandemic lockdown, I have had to cut my hair for the past 4 months. Since there isn't much of it, I've been getting loud cuts over the last few years. While my existing Phillips beard and hair trimmer works well, it was definitely a lot less powerful than the clippers my barber used. I would have to cut the same section dozens of times to get all those sparse hairs of the same length. When I opened this package I saw a heavy, very well made (similar to SS and Al) body. Few accessories (only 4 comb strengths) and completely lousy instructions. Fortunately, there's a video on the Revain list that explains how things work much better. The hair length adjustment lever has an unobvious function. I used the top blade setting all the way back (fully clockwise) as I figured that would give the most extra length and 3mm of comb. Since it was fully charged (really nice little LED bar showing charge level and running RPM), I immediately got to cutting. It worked great. It takes much less time to level the same area multiple times. My wife helped with the back of my head as its weight and width were less suited to getting there than the much smaller Phillips trimmer. Then I trimmed my beard with the same setting. In the end, the charge indicator dropped from 100 to 93%. Pretty good! So I have no complaints. Really impressive build quality and finish. Really quiet and smooth. Pretty amazing for the price. Certainly better than paying the barber $14 for a 5 minute haircut! And it looks the same to me. And even my wife.
