I've worn Ecco golf shoes for a long time, mainly because previous shoes 'just fitted'. Usually no break-in period required, no complaints. That's why I'm staying with Ecco. These shoes do not fit that description. Most boots are ok but the back of the shoe stands higher than the others and what's really bad is that the material seems to be sloped towards my ankle. So he rubs my ankle when he rubs it while playing golf. This sharp ankle pain is not good for golf swings. I tried a second time and wrapped several layers of tape around my ankles to protect them. It worked for a while, but eventually the friction moved the band and the pain returned. On the ninth I swiveled my car and switched to my old Ecco Biome which felt great - they had no contact with pain points.
