Discs work well. I record a lot of CDs and have probably ordered 5 of those 100 CDs in the last 5 months. Only one of them could open normally. The only way to open this container is to unscrew the top cap. It's hard to twist and it takes a lot of twists to get it where you think you can open it. If I keep turning this knob, it starts to crackle and won't open. From there, I figure out a way to break into that container to get at the disks. I salvaged a middle shelf from one of those episodes and am storing discs on it from a freshly smashed container. I kept buying these Memorex because they are good. I've had issues with other brands I've tried. So bad tin aside, this is the best buy when I finally open the tin. I just received my last order today and screwed the lid on and now it's time for the opening tools. One successful method is to drill through the post with a 1/2-inch drill bit, after which the tip will loosen. You may have some drills, but you can handle them. It's a relatively easy task if you have the right tools. As you can see from my previous review, there were serious issues with the packaging. The last one was a complete disaster. The CD container was completely broken. The discs were usable but I put them on the spool I currently use. Each of these orders came from the same supplier. A different provider this time. The box was big enough for a container and undamaged. Why did I continue with the same supplier? I think I'm a slow learner. Future orders will come from this supplier and I record a lot of CDs.
