I have read all the details on this chair carefully, it says it can hold 400lbs and I weigh close to 300lbs so I was sure. Some problems with my legs make it difficult for me to get out of the bathroom. The very first time I sat in a chair, I heard (or felt) something like a pop and didn't really understand what it was until the next time I got in the tub and saw that the seam between the top and bottom was cracked Bottom of the seat parted about 2 inches. Okay, I could deal with that, the next time I got into a situation I felt like everything wasn't on the same level and I felt like I was unstable. As I walked out the chair's legs seemed to come loose, my husband took it apart and made sure all the screws were tight. On the next try, the legs just separated again. I no longer use it, bought a new chair. This chair won't hold 400 pounds, it won't hold 300 pounds.
