Unsafe/Dangerous/Poor Quality

Total rubbish. I weigh about 180 pounds and this chair almost forced me to have surgery. I've had it less than 60 days and bought it to help me shower while recovering from knee surgery. My leg broke causing me to fall and smash the wall in the shower. So now this crappy chair is costing me another $1,000 to fix the shower. This chair should be taken off the market. If I were older I could break my hip. Not recommended unless you're trying to kill someone

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Affordable, easy to assemble product

I chose this chair because it was relatively inexpensive and the legs were adjustable. Actual color was more green/grey than advertised image but who buys these for the color anyway right? The chair was very easy to assemble - no tools were needed. You simply insert screws and turn until tight. Adjusting the height was easy and the chair itself is quite stable. My only complaint is that the legs weren't really level, so it wobbled a bit (not enough to significantly affect use). I haveโ€ฆ

The chair is too wide for a standard bathtub and uncomfortable to use

This chair was easy to put together. Unfortunately, it's quite wobbly in the fully extended position of the legs. I had to lower my legs to third position before the chair was secure enough to sit on. Even though my tub is a standard width, the chair doesn't fit, allowing me to shower with a view of the shower head. I had to turn it sideways to fit in the tub, which was very inconvenient as my feet were pressed against the edge of the tub. To wash your hair you had to sit in the Katzenecke andโ€ฆ

Legs bent and bent

I wish I could give this product zero stars. I liked it at first as it allowed me to sit in the shower and relax. Then I felt my legs buckle. Husband looked and pulled everything up. I thought it was fixed and used it again this morning. Only this time it buckled, causing me to fall into the shower. I tried to hold on to the bar in the shower, but the force of the fall caused me to dislocate my shoulder. Also, I'm covered in bruises. The weight capacity is 400 pounds, and my weight of 250 isโ€ฆ

Doesn't even hold 300 pounds.

I have read all the details on this chair carefully, it says it can hold 400lbs and I weigh close to 300lbs so I was sure. Some problems with my legs make it difficult for me to get out of the bathroom. The very first time I sat in a chair, I heard (or felt) something like a pop and didn't really understand what it was until the next time I got in the tub and saw that the seam between the top and bottom was cracked Bottom of the seat parted about 2 inches. Okay, I could deal with that, the next

Updated replacement now 5 stars

No tools Easy to assemble, durable yet lightweight. The height is adjustable. The only problem is that there is a small piece of plastic sticking out in the middle of the seat, which is very inconvenient. I'll try to glue it. Plus it fits perfectly! ** 2 week update I almost fell off my chair while showering. The legs are unstable, causing the right side of the legs to slide off the chair. I weigh 200 pounds, well under the weight limit. I have only used the chair 3 times. What is moreโ€ฆ
