There is a lot of controversy about the blue Bosch coil. whether you use it or not, the ballast resistor, whether you get a fake or not. etc. I will update this review once I fit this coil but for now I can say with certainty that the picture given for this item is incorrect. the picture looks more like one of the "silver" coils. But what I got looks exactly like the Brazilian blue 00012 spool which I was hoping and expecting based on the part number. It passes the 4 tests I read about: - The part number is stamped on the bottom. check.- It has 3-pin plug-in terminals on both posts. check.- If you shake it, you won't hear the oil splash. - A higher primary resistance of 3.4 ohms indicates a built-in ballast resistor. Check.
