Perfect for dogs who are afraid of fireworks

We've tried just about everything to help our dog stay calm when fireworks are about to go off. Thundermantle, calming treats, lavender oil, classical music, you name it. But this cage is just PERFECT for our Huckleberry dog to feel safe and secure when those big loud fireworks go off. My husband assembled it in minutes. Love that it's soft and not bulky and heavy like a traditional metal box. It has mesh screens on each side and a zipper at the top that you can unzip. We did some light training with small dog treats to get him to lie down and get comfortable. From what I've read about crate training, you should never force your dog to do it as he will develop a negative correlation with the crate. When he's scared we cover the mesh screens with towels to keep it dark and safe. We put a dog bed there along with toys and old shoes to make it cozier. We never zipped up the entrance as we don't want it to feel pinched. We bought a small fan to blow in and it's quite warm in the summer. We will also play and paste white noise on iPad. The Huckleberry is a 50 pound mixed breed rescue pup and the large size is perfect for him.
