Review on πŸ”Œ Versatile UGREEN Bidirectional Converter for Raspberry: A Seamless Compatibility Solution by Kham Fisk

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Doesn't work for my application.

Not working for my application. I wanted to connect the FireStick to my old (but good) 36 inch HD CRT TV. The TV has a DVI input but no HDMI. So I connected the FireStick to the HDMI converter's HDMI input and connected the converter's HDMI output to the TV's DVI input using an HDMI-to-DVI adapter cable (presumably bi-directional). All purchased from Revain. It should have worked, but didn't. [Theoretically there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is. Anon.] I'll give the adapter cable two stars if I doubt it, because my application was a bit tricky and other reviews were good. The cable can't have been the culprit either.

Pros
  • Wide Compatibility: HDMI DVI bidirectional video cable is compatible with all HDMI or DVI-D 24+1 equipped devices, also suitable for DVI-I 24+5 equipped devices. Works great with Laptops, Desktops, Blu-Ray, Raspberry Pi, TV Box, Roku, Graphics Cards, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, DVD, Set Top Boxes, HDTVs, Displays and Projectors.
Cons
  • Expensive
