I'm a journalist and visual devices like this microscope are handy, so I agreed to test this product when VINE suggested it. But I can only give this product 1 star due to its poor design and lack of the promised software. When I opened the product I was able to launch it, download the iPhone software and use it with my phone as promised. Good work. I immediately have good pictures on my phone. But that was not the reason why I wanted this device. The product page promises that it works with computers. That's what I wanted to use, but quickly found out that as of August 2021 there is no software other than smartphones on the App Store. I just can't use it with my laptop, although the company says I should and the company even uploaded a product photo of kids using the device with a laptop. That fatal flaw aside, however, this unit needs to be attached to a base for clear images, however the mounting arm is held together with cheap little nuts and bolts. Worse, these nuts come off the ends of the bolts very easily during installation. Thank goodness I used it on the table. If I used it in the grass as shown in the picture I would have to crawl to find where these tiny nuts might have ended up. All in all, if you just want to use the device with your phone, you might like it. But the fatal flaw for me is promising to use a laptop when I don't have the opportunity.
