I insist that drinking water is always at hand, without the taste of chlorine and without harmful metals. Developed in the USA, this device delivers clean, tasteless filtered drinking water that is not chilled to tap temperature. I love that the 2 included filters last up to 2 years per seller. The reverse osmosis (RO) filter uses a special membrane that allows only clean water to pass through the filter with a 24-month replacement cycle based on usage. The pre-filter (PPC composite), which removes particles and uses activated carbon to enhance flavor, has a 12-month replacement cycle, again dependent on usage. This is better than many systems that require up to 4 filters to be replaced annually or more frequently. I liked that and also that the device notifies me when it's time to change one or both filters. The installation instructions are detailed and well illustrated (page 4). Most homeowners have the tools they need, although drilling a 1-inch hole in the top of a stainless steel sink may mean purchasing a good bi-metal hole drill bit, or even better, a 1-inch tungsten carbide-tipped drill bit. I have both, so things have been going well for me. An electrical connection under the sink is a requirement for this system which uses a UL listed 24V power supply (last picture) with a standard 120V AC plug and a system power plug similar to that used in a laptop. I recommend watching the video they offer for installation instructions and also read the instructions carefully. Also make sure there is enough room under the sink plus two inches for hose connections and the like on top to have room to get out. P.5 - top connectors. The system case is 15.1 inches high, so make sure you have enough room for a 17 inch height! The first 2 pixels show the size. It has been carefully packaged with thoughtful details. I noticed a shortcoming. The instructions say nothing about the need for an AIR GAP on the downstream side of the system. The air gap prevents the backflow and suction of waste water from my drainage basin into my drinking water system. Please check Google for more information or speak to a plumber. Due to building codes and health concerns, the drain pipe MUST have an air gap, which requires a small additional cost ($50) for proper attachment and can be a real installation problem for some. Don't miss it for health safety! This will reduce a half star, but since there are no half stars, I'll take 5 by default. I recommend this IPUREPLUS Tankless Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System, 600 GPD, 1.5:1 Pure to Drain, TDS Reduction, Smart Faucet, TDS in real Time. Reading, UL Listed, USA Tech, UTR400A Underflow Reverse Osmosis Filtration System. Tasty water without the heavy 5 gallon water jugs is a huge benefit to my home cooking and will save me some money over time. I hope you found the information and my review helpful.
