Crimps contacts and plugs perfectly! I wasn't expecting much when I saw this kit but thought I'd roll the dice and see how well it works and I'm very impressed! The pins of the crimp connector were neatly packaged and untangled easily. The cables were strong and easily detached. The sockets are exceptionally well made, very stiff and give a nice *click* when inserting the pins. The crimping tool was surprisingly good too! Light ratcheting spring mechanism, nice grips on the handlebars, and you can get different jaw dies (which I'll probably end up getting)! Kudos to the supplier as these kits are a great price and better quality than I expected. Finally, I've never seen better documentation with a crimp kit! They show you what a good crimp looks like and what a bad crimp looks like with very simple instructions, ideal for beginners! They also come with documentation showing what pins the crimping tool supports and their model numbers if you want to order them. I've used crimping tools that cost hundreds of dollars and you'll be lucky if you can find the correct replacement pin part number on the manufacturer's website, even if you know the crimping tool model! Great set will definitely buy more!
