Good for brothers and sisters. The ink really disappears.

This workbook is about writing, marking lines, counting and pronouncing letters. I love that the ink goes away because the kids can come back and repeat some of the exercises. It also means the book can be reused for a younger sibling. Handwriting exercises are similar to other workbooks - a letter or number starts with a period and children have to follow the lines to the end. It has both uppercase and lowercase letters. There are exercises in connecting dots that we enjoy both counting and tracing. It also has some frame counting and some letter voicing. This is a good book to teach your child to practice, although I wouldn't rely on just one book for all of these skills. If you want something more comprehensive I would go for a large workbook like School Zone or Brain Quest. Pen ink really disappears. I photographed the word "test" right after I wrote it, and then about 1 hour later - there were only a few faint spots left. This works if your child wants to repeat the exercise or if you want to pass it on to a sibling. There are 10 cartridges in a set, that's quite enough.
