I was going to return it anyway as it was bigger and heavier than I expected but when repacking I felt it important to note the issues for others who might want to buy . The foldability is great, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it. 1) The velvet lining also attracts a lot of pet hair. I should have known this was going to be a problem as it was covered in little styrofoam beads when I took it out of the box. 2) The wood is cracked and scratched. Maybe it should have looked out of tune, but I see more imperfections and lack of polish in it. Based on the photos I expected it to be smooth and black to match my other furniture. 3) Whoever glued the fabric to the steps did a terrible job. As you can see in the third photo, there is a huge bubble on the second step. I know it's meant for pets and maybe that's why there wasn't any quality control, but for my own aesthetic it's just not worth the price for it. Maybe others don't care.
