Not as waterproof as I would expect from a Pelican case

I chose this case as a small emergency kit for my kayak. I put an extra pair of glasses in a case, a pair of eyeglass straps, spare contact lenses, an extra string of tape, extra nose clips, a small roll of tape, a lighter, and a multi-tool. I always have it in the boat, behind the seat. After several days of whitewater kayaking I checked the case and was very disappointed to see moisture under the lid inside. I opened it up, dried it and made sure it was sealed securely and properly before returning it to the boat. After a few more days of swimming I checked again and still saw moisture. I removed everything, took the insert out of the case, there is moisture between it and the bottom of the case. I'll try it again. I removed a few items to keep it from being so crowded, maybe I packed it too tight. Hope that helps.
