I use this with a 500mm lens and flash with a variety of Wimberley mounts and adapters. It's amazing and highly recommended, but I'm giving one star for two small issues. 1) With my new, lighter 500mm lens, attached flash and extension, I can't get the perfect balance. I suspect the problem is that the center of gravity is a bit high even with the clamp all the way down. If the arm was an inch or so longer, balance could be achieved I think. All of this to say it's not *bad*, it's just not perfect. 2) It's picky, but the action isn't as smooth as it could be, I'm sure, due to the bearing system used. You could argue that you don't want a smooth system with all those expensive gears swinging around, but I'd like to be able to control that with a tension adjustment.
