I bought these Teva Universal Trails to replace my 1992 Terra Fis. Fi is fine, but I wanted a change of scenery. My main use is boating on the lake. The Vibram outsole is essential for safety. Imagine stepping on a sharp branch or a piece of broken glass underwater! A deep wound that's clogged with dirt can be a very bad day. These sandals have a durable outsole as well as a soft upper with arch support that stays in place in the X, Y, and Z directions. The straps are lined with neoprene and dry quickly.
