Review on Cable Matters Keystone Punch Down - 25 Pack: Optimize Your Search! by Bill Forbis

Use it all the time, no problem

So I quickly got these ports for Cat6 and not 6a as they are not for 6a and to be honest, the price is perfect. I get a great signal and they work very well. For a simple item they're fine, anyone talking about flimsy plastic is probably not too good or familiar with stamping tools. The photos I saw were a bit underwhelming as the wires were just stuffed there. With the right punch tool I had no problem, I even took a connector and punched through 30+ wires to match and label the wires. Using only 2 pairs of green and white-green I punched, hooked up the remotes to the wall and sat in the server room, just punched and flashed again, at the end of about 32 wires I noticed a weakened state of the port. but honestly they should be disposable, score and then done. However, just for fun, I punched and tested it completely, got a full signal and 1 Gb/s throughput on the port. The lesson is simple, make sure you know what you're doing before writing a review on a product that's just a staple that's considered once in a lifetime for most of us in the industry. Also, be sure to use a good quality special tool with a razor blade to snip off the remaining wires on the sides. Unlike the 66 or 110 blocks, the piercing tool uses a low power setting and given the product itself and its type, the insulated sheath is all the metal teeth are trying to penetrate so they bite into the copper itself. This is actually bad, so biting them a little less is much better, as you don't want the connection to lose signal, which would happen if the element cut into a real copper wire. Also note that they are for Cat6 not 6a. So make sure you use the right tool for the job when you work, otherwise low-quality reviews will pop up. not a very skilled worker.
