Terribly slow. I recorded an average of 110 rpm (after a 4-minute warm-up). I mainly use this for blocky cheese. The low RPM allows the blade to grab and deform the block, making it difficult to get consistently thin, even slices. I have to rotate the block after each slice. The suction cups don't seem to hold the device in place, but I don't apply much pressure so I have no problem moving it around during use. The blade is easy to disassemble for cleaning, but I'm concerned about some "crevices" on the body that liquids can get into (it would be better if the drawer could be removed or made in one piece). Generally this is better than using wire cutters.
