I am convinced that the indoor and/or outdoor thermometer is not accurate. The entire unit sat in my office for about 6 hours, but the "inside temperature" and "outside temperature" differed by 3 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm deducting a star for this inaccuracy. Pages). This does not require detailed instructions, but I would like to understand the various symbols that are visible on the watch but not explained (for example, the broadcast symbol above the second seems to mean that it has received a radio signal; the arrow on the right besides the outside temperature, what does that mean? I assume that the temperature is "constant"). The manual is written in real English - and not as poorly translated as most electronic devices these days. It seems to keep track of "Atomic Time". I roughly set the time yesterday, it corrected itself overnight and seems to be accurate to the second (compared to time.gov for example). We have a small 'atomic' Seiko watch that is insanely difficult to set up and use. I was a little concerned that this device would be just as painful. But that's not the case. You should be able to figure out how to set the time and/or alarm without instructions. That's how it should be! An interesting feature is the maintenance of high and low temperatures. Just checking to see if we were cold last night (we weren't cold, it was at least 39). Others have reported that the batteries drain fairly quickly, particularly the outdoor sensor. I've had it for a little over 24 hours so I'll keep an eye out. One of the downsides of the device is that it doesn't have a backlight, nor does it have a button or backlight option. Difficult to read in low light. Mounting/Desktop Use: Has 3 triangular holes on the back - theoretically left and far right can be hung with nails or screws - but it protrudes about 1" from the wall. I have it hanging on a nail through the central slot, but using such buttons from the top is a bit risky. It also has a "stand" to stand upright on a table. ADVANTAGES: Easy to install. Tracks the time closely. Big Numbers. WEAKNESSES: no backlight / difficult to read in low light or more than 30 degrees off axis. The temperature appears to have dropped by as much as 3 degrees Fahrenheit.
