Boots that don't weigh much but are still effective in moderate conditions

I've had several pairs of boots before, not Carhartt, Steel Toes, Carbon Toes, Docs, Cactus. They call it. My problem was that I no longer work in construction and don't use boots except for camping and light housework. My other boots were struggling, getting heavy, after a while my feet started to hurt, the laces were difficult to lace up etc. I needed a pair of boots for camping, desert/mountain touring and projects around the house. I also needed a lighter shoe and opted for a non-steel/carbon toe cap. I'm a size 10.5 shoe, but as I've gotten older and gained some weight, I find size 11 shoes more comfortable. I went with some Carhartts because I've always wanted a few Carhartts and I can relate to what the company is about. I went with their 6" Carhartt Wedge waterproof soft toe work boots. I received them in 2 days. The box was very light and I thought I had received an empty box. Of course there was also a pair of boots in the box. I was a bit worried about the light boots but tried them on they lace up nicely I had some doubts about the flimsy laces but when I tightened the laces they pulled taut over my eyes and stayed tight for me to finish the last tie up I could do it. I liked it. At first I didn't like the high heels, but after walking around a bit it seemed normal to me. The first weekend I decided to wear boots all Saturday and Sunday. Even went with the kids to the mall, had lunch, did chores, did chores, drove truck and car.No warm-up required, these boots are great! If you're after a pair of boots If you are looking for items that are lightweight yet effective for working in moderate conditions or lounging around the campfire, then this is for you. I will be at King of the Hammers in February 2020 and will let you know how well they did as these will be the only shoes I will be wearing throughout the event.
