Ideal for the combination of projector and surround receiver
Works very well for my purposes. My surround sound doesn't support HDMI and I had to split the video to a projector on the ceiling. This allows me to connect all my HDMI gear and send a single cable to the projector while sending audio to a surround sound receiver via a high quality optical Toslink. And Best Buy told me there can't be such a thing and I should just buy a new receiver from them for $1000 lol.
