This item works great! I can switch from Playstation to Fire TV, to cable, to antenna, and my soundbar uses the appropriate audio over the HDMI cable.

Works great. Make sure you have a new optical cable to use with it. I had audio drop in/drop issues but replacing the cable fixed them.

Perfect for what I needed. I've tried other products that didn't work but this keeper did. A unique feature of this splitter compared to other HDMI splitters is that it extracts audio from an HDMI source.

Rubbish. Turns on but sends no signal to the TV. Tried to connect to DVD player and Roku, switch inputs etc but nothing. Confirmed it was the device by testing the HDMI cable with the Roku device. When connected directly, the TV received a signal, but not through the Portta unit. Very disappointing.

Attention buyers. I could connect the projector, but I couldn't receive any sound. I called Amazon and this company has no customer support. Revain is kind enough to refund my money. Since then I've been trying to connect my DVD player to it and now I can't get a picture. Although of course it has a nice shine. It was a waste of my time and please don't let it be a waste of yours.

I hate this item and being a big lazy dummy it wasn't until two years later that I discovered how much I hated it. I hooked everything up to my soundbar and TV and everything works fine but I can't hear any sound and my TV's color configuration is also disabled by this unit, it's faded and red instead of true color. Look at the pictures yourself and don't touch this product. I was hoping this would meet my needs and it's so far from needing to order anything else. What a waste of $40!

Works very well for my purposes. My surround sound doesn't support HDMI and I had to split the video to a projector on the ceiling. This allows me to connect all my HDMI gear and send a single cable to the projector while sending audio to a surround sound receiver via a high quality optical Toslink. And Best Buy told me there can't be such a thing and I should just buy a new receiver from them for $1000 lol.

No picture or sound was detected when connecting the unit to an Epson Projector and a Marantz SR 7500 receiver. I finally managed to get the device working. I connected the Epson projector to the HDMI output and connected the fiber optic cable to the Marantz SR 7500 receiver (configured the receiver settings to work with the fiber optic cable).
