Review on 🌶️ Clear OXO Pepper Grinder: Enhancing Flavor with Precision Grinding by Paul Barnes

Built to fail. Low quality. The center wheel is PLASTIC, NOT ceramic, and it will break after a few months of regular use! This grinder's upside-down design is great for keeping your counter clean, but this is where the bait and switches work. Both grinding discs are NOT ceramic. The outer disc IS ceramic, but the inner disc is made of plastic which doesn't stand up well to the struggle of chopping and grinding peppers. Ours lasted six months before the inner grinding cone/wheel broke. If it breaks, it will push the inner disc apart instead of grinding the pepper while pushing against the grinding wheel, giving you a much larger grind size. At the smallest grind setting, we now get what used to be the second highest actual grind. This is clearly a planned obsolescence to keep you coming back and buying more. I usually like OXO products, but this is either bad design or a deliberate rip-off.
