Review on Piel Leather Buckle Flap Backpack Saddle Backpacks by Mike Barnes

Well I've been carrying this backpack to school every day since September and I love it. I wanted a backpack that could hold a lot of things (grad school) but look a little better than a typical Jansport. The leather is still as nice except for a few blemishes on the underside of the straps where it rubs against my back when worn. The buckles are fantastic (great for public transport as unlike zippers these types of buckles make it harder to rummage through bags). I can pack two 1.5" binders in the main pocket (it has a lot of stuff) as well as my laptop, laptop charger, umbrella and a few other items. I can put some pens in one front pocket and my wallet/phone in the other. There are two zipped compartments in the main pocket and on the main flap. I think it's comfortable but I had to make two new holes in the straps to make them shorter as they stretched quite quickly. I'm 5'3", so someone taller probably won't have this problem. It also makes a great "personal item" for flying. Holds a lot of stuff and looks good/not as sporty as a regular backpack, plus since it's leather it's nice to know that it will last almost forever if you don't leave it outside in the rain.
