I consider myself a person with reasonable knowledge of setting up new IT products and equipment. At first I had no trouble connecting this extender to my home network when I bought it about 6 months ago (and it worked pretty well), but then I upgraded my home wireless network. That's when the problems with the company started. I tried reconfiguring the Netgear Extender by following all the recommended steps in the app to get my new wireless system up and running. I got to the point where my extender finally recognized my new wireless network. When asked for a network password, I entered the password correctly. However, the new password was NOT recognized (although it was absolutely correct), even after several CORRECT attempts to re-enter it. I called Nighthawk Netgear support to let them know about the issue. Rather than give me any idea why my password isn't being accepted in the app, the technician (in a heavy non-English accent) told me that if my device is over 90 days old, I need to purchase an extended warranty to obtain. I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life. I will be actively informing my friends and colleagues to stay away from this company due to this horribly bad experience in what is probably a simple issue. And if it's the device itself, it's less than 6 months old, so the quality is really at stake. I am very disappointed and angry that I spent good money on this product and now I don't have any advanced features.
