This is probably the worst portable stereo I've ever heard. It's like those "fake" radios you buy at fashion stores; cheap parts and worst sound, with cute designs to tempt you. Breaking Down Its Ugliness: I knew I was in trouble when I took it out of the box and noticed its fragility and light weight. I tried the CD first to see how it sounded and found that the CD barely fits on the top (you kind of have to tip it in and out) and the lid doesn't open or close either, you put it down just on top of the cd. Then I pressed the play button and heard great sound, eerie like the busted speaker I had in my '82 Granada. Talk about getting her back! Then I tried a cassette player and the first warning sign was the buttons moving as one meaning you press 'play' and it's made so cheaply all the buttons are half pressed. cassette sound? Surprise, it was like someone gargling underwater. And then he quickly ate my tape. At that moment we laughed at the absurdity of it all. I've already packed it and hope they play football with it at camp for someone to enjoy. But what about the nostalgia factor? For that I give a 1 plus, because my first stereo system was also the worst. It was in the shape of a hamburger.
