Review on Samsung T5 Portable SSD MU PA500B by Yusri Awin ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, I definitely recommend it!

I decided to get this one instead of the spindle 1TB because it had a USB connector that was starting to pull away from the device's side. I got it for the boss. A minor source of annoyance for me is the fact that the new Samsung T5 has a wire on the rear USB 3.0 connector. As compared to the clean and small USB 3.0 puller, the cord appears to be an unnecessary excess of material. Data access speed between 254 and 274 megabytes per second, access time of 0.02022 milliseconds, and processor load of 7%. At an average speed of 230 megabytes per second, a single 38 GB zip archive was written to the T5 storage device in 2 minutes and 45 seconds. This stripper recorded a folder containing a variety of documents totaling 33GB over a duration of three minutes at a speed of 230-260MB/s. The device already has an exFAT partition installed, which is advantageous for a variety of reasons, including extending the lifespan of the SSD by ensuring that the write operations are carried out in a uniform manner.

Pros
  • Device that is compact and lightweight, measuring 1.8 inches. Writing and reading speeds that can be reliably measured when linked to USB 3.0; an exFAT file system built right in. The item has a nice color, and the surface is matte and non-marking.
Cons
  • The included USB 3.0 cable has a slight backlash when connected to the device, which is not ideal. This is one of the kit's shortcomings. It can wear out more quickly over time if it is flipped over, and it may also start to slide away. Despite the fact that this is a challenge for practically every puller. The read and write speeds are noticeably slower than those that the manufacturer claims are possible.
