If you have a Char-Broil infrared grill

Is it suitable for cleaning this grill? First the tool needs to go deep into the grid grooves, the longest length of this tool is about 1/4 inch. The channels on the grill are about 1/2 inch deep so they don't even reach the bottom. It easily scrapes the food off the top of the grill but does nothing for the channels. The metal strength or thickness is not strong enough, too weak.
