Review on 🔥 SonicWall TZ105 UTM Secure Firewall - Model 01-SSC-6942 by Marcus Britton

I bought this because I needed more security than the consumer grade devices provide. In short, I need a firewall for my security, not a router. For this purpose, SonicWall TZ105 offers a basic firewall. And as many have noted here, we're talking about additional features that aren't included in the base product. Just get used to the Unlicensed dialog box. Also, there is NO SUPPORT for this product unless you pay for it. Although support packs are usually sold to continue support, I'm surprised that initial support isn't available. If it's broken, new in the box, no one will pick up the phone to help. The biggest complaint I have is that there are only 60-day firmware updates. I understand the whole "monetize everything" concept, but I think this is going too far. The problem is that it is a security device. If at some point in the future there is a vulnerability, I have no choice but to pay SonicWall/Dell money to fix a bug in their product. I think it's inappropriate for a hardware device of this nature. Let me put it another way. Suppose an automaker discovers a defect that could result in a catastrophic, fatal car accident. They issue a callback notice to fix the problem for free. If SonicWall has a security-related defect that could result in loss of data, privacy, and resources, SonicWall/Dell will charge you to fix the problem. So one star for being a marketing/upsell tool. The second star is deducted when customers charge for rectifying product defects.
