Review on NavePoint 9U Basic IT Wall Mount Network Server πŸ—„οΈ Data Cabinet Rack: Secure Storage Solution with Glass Door Locking, Black by Mark Harris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fairly durable, exhaust fans are noisy

I had a specific spot on an industrial shelving where I could place a shelf or cabinet and was limited in height and depth. All requirements were thus fully met. The front brackets can be adjusted about 2 inches in either direction, and I had to move them to their foremost position to accommodate the Unifi Dream Machine Pro and Synology RS816 Rackstation (they were about 1.5 inches longer in their default position). The exhaust fans are very, very noisy, but like many others, I don't have to leave them running. If I did, I'd probably swap them out for something quieter. I've added a 48" USB powered LED strip. I also notice that even though the front glass door is latched, the side panels don't close. My build is complete and I've completely filled all 9U of the rack (the custom one 3D printed mount for AT&T/Arris BGW210-700 router/gateway occupies 2U and Pioneer AVR occupies 2U on top shelf, the rest are all 1U consisting of 24-port patch panel, USW-24-POE- Unifi switch, UDMP, RS816 and 8-port StarTech PDU below).

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
