The modem works great when plugged in. It achieves the speeds our cable company advertises, but wireless? Forget it. Our wireless connection is worse than dial up. When we contacted CableOne about this issue, they didn't officially confirm that there was a problem with this modem and wireless connection, but in another way they said that this modem is known to not have a good wireless connection. I tried to solve this problem by connecting another wireless router to this modem and sending the signal from a different channel. It works much better, but still not up to the mark. I was told I wouldn't get full speed on the laptop and less than 1mb/s is ridiculous when I'm paying for 50mb/s. I've never had this problem with DSL. I got the full speeds I paid for, even over WiFi. In short, I would not recommend this modem if you use it wirelessly. If you're connected with an ethernet cable, this might work for you.
