It Works Very Well On Dogs With Thick Hair Surprisingly! I was hesitant at first but after using it I was amazed at the power of these clippers. I have 3 Chi-Poos and their hair gets THICK and I started right in the center of their back, no guard, and it went right through. Granted you have to hold it at a proper angle or it will definitely pull hair but that is with any clippers and even if you don't know what you're doing and don't hold it at the right angle it still cuts better than the many other clippers I've bought. Definite must have for grooming dogs! Without a doubt.
