This product, despite the relative ease of use of other MirrorTap products, is not intended for easy installation by the average person with minimal automotive experience. I attempted to install this cable myself for my Uniden R3 radar detector on my 2018 Honda CR-V EX after spending a few weeks researching how to remove the required interior panels where I might expect ground studs. e.g. how to find auxiliary wires etc. The only reward for my efforts was several hours of difficulty and frustration when I found that I lacked the tools to install the ground wire to the ground stud and I didn't have the required 12v wires without fear of electric shock. I'll probably be returning the cable and have to deal with the inconvenient cable that came with my R3.
