Cheap monitor, but at a price?

For the price I think it's a good deal. My biggest complaint is that there are no instructions for how to do this. There are some buttons on the bottom side of the screen but I can't figure out how to use them. I can view the menu screens, but I cannot navigate through the menus. It must also be dual screen but without instructions how to do it? The picture quality is pretty good BUT you have to be at the right angle for that. There's always some sort of adjustment to the screen position so it doesn't look dark. The old adage still applies. You get what you pay for! He doesn't do it all the time, but he does it often enough to make things worse. The image on the screen suddenly disappears into a screen full of jumbled colored lines and I have to click on the screen to bring it back to normal. I've checked all my connections and they're tight and even tried hooking them up to a different source using a DVI connector instead of a regular computer connector. Same problem. It's just a cheap monitor. Now I wish I had spent more and gotten something better. January 2014 HORRIBLE ASUS EXPERIENCE Now my monitor has such severe distortion almost every time it is used. When I called ASUS customer service (not a toll free number) the rep said they were in Indiana. The rep told me there would be no THANK YOU and that I would be sent a new monitor and I could just return the broken one in the box. (The initial monitor fee will be added to my credit card and then waived if they return the defective monitor). I received a new monitor (FIXED, the NEW monitor I was told by the representative that I would receive it was described as "new, refurbished or refurbished" by their service department. What happened to the "new" monitor, which I was supposed to receive in exchange) for the NEW one I originally bought?!) There was also no return label, and again a customer service message that I was responsible for the cost of returning their faulty monitor. (What happened to FREE?) I sent them a complaint and the auto reply said I would get a response from them within 48 hours. A week has passed and no reply. So I took the faulty monitor to FedEx, the cheapest place to send it back (because if they don't receive the faulty monitor within 14 days of the replacement being shipped, a customer service note said my credit card payments would NOT be reversed.) The Shipping to California still cost me over $26. Weren't they in Indiana? Asus. PERFECT COMPANY NAME!
