One of the red LEDs was defective and the square kept showing the wrong hue - unacceptable quality control at this price point. The CMT64GX4M4K3600C16 I received was version 4.31 with Samsung B-Die. The semi-stable max overclock I was able to get was 3800 MT/s 16-16-16-34-300 dual rank quad at 1.45v on the X299 Dark. I didn't stabilize, I decided to return it. This dual rank kit was posting at 4000 MT/s at no voltage and timing - it always crashed at the EE POST code. I can run 4000 MT/s 16-16-16-34-275 single rank quad at 1.45V on the same system. The RAM got very hot at 1.45V - it only reached 61C when loading the desktop, which is likely the cause of the rare failures in the MemTest86 random pattern test at 3800MT/s. This kit makes no sense at its current price, with the F4-3600C16Q-64GTZR/F4-3600C16Q-64GTZN for $499 and the F4-3600C14Q-64GTZN for $589. I only bought it because I wanted an iCUE with integrated RGB lighting and it was reduced to $666. There's no excuse for about a 60% premium over the competition.
