Review on ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ IOmesh Black Universal IO Shield Plate: Create Custom IO Shield for Any PC Motherboard, Perfect Replacement for Lost Backplate by Dan Reggae

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A good replacement if you are having trouble finding or setting up an I/O shield.

So the Universal IO Mesh isn't that bad. What cutting tool do you have at home? How well you cut holes is up to you. If you have a motherboard behind it, the I/O shield should "hold up" fairly securely. That's why I deducted a star. But if you have nothing beyond the generic I/O grid. , it can spring open at the slightest pressure. I needed an I/O shield in a case for a non-traditional PC motherboard project and needed to use Sugru modular adhesive to hold the I/O shield in place. something to consider. It's also plastic, so take that into account if you're doing something that requires a metal plate for any reason (grounding or electromagnetic shielding considerations).

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
