I was very excited when my scat mat arrived, I bought 4 rolls of 8ft. I used this application for the top of a 6 foot fence. Also, I bought $25 1-inch pan head screws from a home store to attach to a fence. I cut the 8ft strips in half and ended up with 2 8ft x 6" strips that I placed on top of the 2x6 fence cap, it looks great when I'm done. Now the test has come. I let my cat out into the yard and she jumped straight onto the plastic spikes, she walked along them as usual, no discomfort, then started rubbing her prey against the spikes and, thanks to me, looked at me with a smile. Don't waste your money if your cats don't need a foot massage!
