Like an addict I took it out of the box and threw it in the laundry without even looking at it. Although softer than the originals, they are very different. The part that goes over the head is wider, making them uncomfortable and difficult to put on. There doesn't seem to be much more when it's placed side by side, but when I tried to put the new one on it left a big gap where the elastic is. Also, it's a little shorter than the original, making it harder to curl your hair. A shorter tail with a gap makes it impossible to attach them to a rubber band without slipping. Plus plush fabric. I absolutely couldn't put all my hair in this thing without serious work and then couldn't get it to stay in the elastic or even reach the elastic to stop it from slipping off. I've been using these products for years and have very curly waist length hair. I would return them if I could. I'm adding pictures, red is the old version.
