These pads work as advertised with the correct holder. Just make sure to center them well before using them. I bought these to use with cerium oxide on my windshield and they worked really well. I used a 1/2" right angle Millwaukee bit with a bit holder and the speed was spot on. You can use a regular corded drill (a cordless one will quickly run out), but the ergonomics aren't that great, and the weight of the Millwaukee drill helps, too.
