The nitrate levels in my system have been high since I installed it 2 years ago. After hearing rave reviews of my LFS, I decided to give it a try. As I have a larger system (350g+) the standard vials were too small so I opted for the "Pro" version. Before the first application I checked the nitrate content. The result was 60-80 ppm, which is unfortunately where they worked. I turned off the skimmer and dispensed 1 vial as instructed. After 3-4 hours I turned the skimmer back on and got on with my day. Within a week I started seeing a significant drop in nitrates. I have since dosed 2 more vials and nitrates are barely detectable with my API test kit. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is because the set was out of stock at the time of original purchase (mid-February) and it took a month or more to arrive. As soon as I received it, I found that two of the bottles had broken foil seals during shipping. I then sent it back to Revane who sent me a replacement.
