Review on Chuckanut Products 10 Pound Premium Squirrel by Stephanie Young

After reading the 'anxious' reviews about peanuts for squirrels (some say we can kill our squirrels, lead them to malnutrition, scabies etc), we have switched to them from our previous products, Whole Shelled Peanuts (prepared for wildlife, meaning unsalted) or Critter Crunch. Our squirrels and other creatures were always running up and hanging out at our bird feeders. After we laid everything out, they came to check and left. It rained, made it wet, bugs, ants, mold etc got in. If there's no alternative, yes squirrels will come and take it, but honestly I think my squirrels get sick simply because they get wet and covered moldy and sticky and thin before they're interested enough. I had to follow my gut and leave it alone because our squirrels are healthy, normal sized fluffy tails, shiny coats, etc. all from eating critter crunch, corn and peanuts. It was a complete waste.
