Updated Rating: Purchased in September. It's June, so I put a lot of "miles" on these oven mitts. At the same time I bought them I bought a set of 4 which were cheaper. And if I could give those 6 stars, I would. They are captivating and they are very protective. I've never felt the heat of a hot pan through them. They are my favorite potholders and I cannot recommend them highly enough. In fact, I buy another set because everyone in the house reaches for them first. They have terry cloth inside so they are soft. And the red on the outside has silicone strips, thanks to which they stick to almost everything. I always take them first, especially when I'm taking something out of the microwave. Silicone strips adhere to glass bowls and mugs and protect hands from microwaved items. Worth every penny!
