Review on Black Velo Elastomer Bike Saddle, 264x220mm by Dusty Oner

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great saddle for a hybrid, cruiser or exercise bike.

Everyone's anatomy is different - I'm male, 1.6m tall and 85kg - so your experience may differ from mine. I tested 6 different saddles on my road bike and the ProForm 290 SPX indoor cycle trainer that I use on rainy days. The six saddles were: 1) Serfas Performance RX (very good for a road bike - it's on mine), 2) Serfas E-Gel hybrid bike saddle with cutout (by far the worst and least comfortable - see my review of this item) , 3) Selle Royal Lookin Moderate Cool Xsenium Bi-Color Actex bike saddle (second worst due to pressure in the crotch area), 4) the stock seat of the ProForm 290 SPX (uncomfortable for long rides but better than #2 and #3 above) , 5) Velo-Elastomer bike saddle (this saddle is very comfortable AND it's the cheapest - that's what I chose for the ProForm 290) and 6) the Sunlite Cloud-9 Bicycle Suspension Comfort saddle (better than #2, #3, #4 but uncomfortable compared to the Velo elastomer saddle). The Velo elastomer bike saddle provides excellent sit bone support with little or no pressure on the crotch area. With this seat I can (quickly) ride for over an hour without pain or sore muscles. The seat material is seamless, waterproof and prevents shifting on the seat. Overall this is a great saddle for a hybrid, cruiser or stationary bike. It's very, very convenient!
