We were told they are made in the same factory as the Monroe shocks and are slightly cheaper. Not necessarily an upgrade, but definitely functional. UPDATE: 09/15/17. When driving through the city streets, a strange rumble appeared under the stern of the body. Took it to an alignment and suspension shop to find out what was wrong. According to them, they do NOT recommend Gabriel shocks because the metal tube that the bolts go through already slides in the hub and causes rumble. In total there are approx. 2500 miles and 5 months until replacement. complete failure.
