I bought this to make cold drink preparation a bit easier and not sure how I feel about it yet. I immediately noticed that the tube was made of very thin steel. This makes it feel pretty cheap and I have to be very careful with it. I've only used it once so far, but I'm not that thrilled with it. The mesh is so thin that the water doesn't seem to flow very freely and the brew doesn't turn as dark as with other methods, so I doubt if I'll get a good extraction now or not. I shook/"shaken" the jar several times during cooking because it didn't darken on its own as expected like the other methods I've used. I have a few more batches to make before deciding if this will be my method.
