This is definitely not meant to heat an entire room - when the heat in my apartment went out for the day I turned it on in my living room and although it definitely kept the chill out. When you left him you were cold. It is perfect for office/home use. For the price, that's a great deal! Works great (no problems so far). It has a good safety mechanism that won't let the heater work unless it's on a flat/stable surface (there's a push button on the bottom) and the cord is long enough for the heater area. This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm sitting right under the air conditioner in my office, and no amount of convincing on our builders' part is going to convince them to give up. The thing is small and discreet, not very noisy and heats up the desk well. I like its security feature. So if you tilt it or lay it on its side, it will turn itself off. This heater keeps me warm and toasty. It's definitely worth the money and it's very cute!
