These things work great! I used them in a VIPER installation for my Chevy truck. The locks on my truck are very difficult to work and these things slide them around like a lawn mower. Tractor tow. I was able to install them in about 3 hours fairly easily. Most of the time was spent looking for a spot where they would fit in the door panel. Once I found a spot I drilled in Hole to go through the lever and bent it into shape (very easy with a vice) I couldn't figure out what the brass scraper was for (with holes in it) and didn't seem appropriate to use them (maybe are them for the bigger door?) Anyway, the locks went in easily and they're very strong, you can hear these things locking my doors from about 75 feet away, they're so powerful i. Just note that unless your locking mechanism says you don't, you'll need relays if you're installing them yourself. They draw a lot of power when turned on and will blow a fuse if plugged directly into your device. The only problem I had was that they didn't have long enough screws. The screws included in the kit only go to the middle of the holes! How can it be!?! As such, you may need to purchase your own hardware for them.
