These are practical, attractive little bags that are great for students. I put pens/markers in one pocket and headphones/charger in another and you're done! The zippers are easy to pull, the material feels durable and the charcoal heather color means you can carry it in a backpack and not pick up too much dirt. an iPhone charger and headphones in one bag if you pack the cables carefully. I would not necessarily recommend it for cosmetics due to the narrow width. When packaged a certain way, the bags stand out on the table by themselves, but I don't think they're necessarily designed that way. They tend to fall. But for my purposes they are great! And they don't *look* like a regular pencil case.
